Extrusion

Profile Design
When designing profiles, there are a few rules to remember that will increase the effectiveness of the extrusion process and final product.

Try to use…

• Symmetry in the profile design, which improves the extrusion process.
• Materials of 50 durometers or above, which provide more control and allow for more complex extrusions.

Try to avoid…

• Internal shapes with corners of a small radius, which are difficult to achieve.
• Wide variations in profile wall thickness, which cause the extrusion to have a marked curvature.
